I’m Audrey, co-owner of The Refinery Hair Lounge in Middletown and Shelbyville, KY, and I’ve been doing hair for more than 15 years. I’ve taught as an EVO North American Educator, mentored new stylists into their confident era, and built this salon from the ground up. Now I focus on the work I love most: hair extensions, fine and thinning hair, and lived-in color for guests from all over Louisville.

Hair extensions, matched to your hair. I’m certified in most of the major hair extension methods, so I choose the one that fits your hair, your budget and your routine instead of forcing one method on everyone. That includes K-tips, I-tips, tape-ins, sew-in wefts, butterfly wefts, Medusa wefts, V-light, Combline and clip-ins. Done right, nobody can tell where your hair ends and the extensions begin.

Fine and thinning hair. Losing density is personal, and I treat it that way. I fit toppers and extensions that add fullness without stressing your own hair, and I’m NSG certified in men’s hair replacement. We start with an honest conversation about what you want and what your hair can handle.

Lived-in color, balayage and gray blending. I’m a Masters of Balayage Elite Stylist, and my work made Behind the Chair’s 2026 OneShot Hair Awards Top 100 for Cool Balayage and Lob/Bob. I love balayage and dimensional blonding that grow out soft, so you’re not back in my chair every five weeks. Going gray? I do gray blending and gray camouflage for my “I’m not going down without a highlight” girlies.

Cuts and color that break the rules on purpose. Alternative haircuts, bold color, tinsel, the inspo you’ve been saving on your phone. If it takes creativity, precision or a little magic, that’s where I’m happiest. I’ve also worked backstage at Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.

People come to me for the transformation, but they stay because the vibe is real. I’m equal parts hype-woman, strategist, therapist and “say less, I got you.” I don’t just do hair. I build confidence and help you feel like yourself, only louder.

Outside the salon, I’m a mom of two toddlers, so I professionally juggle scissors, schedules and snacks. My family keeps me grounded and my clients keep me inspired.
